Broughton in Craven are awarded the Banbury Circle Audacious Visit Trophy.

At the Circle meeting on 2nd August, we were visited by a group of brothers and wives from Aberdeen Circle.
They brought with them the Banbury Circle's Audacious Visit Trophy, passing it on to Broughton and setting a challenge.

The challenge is to pass on the trophy to another 'out of province circle', which is at least 100 miles away.

Brother President, Michael Limb accepted the trophy from Aberdeen President, Simon Winstanley.
We are now planning a visit to pass it on. At least 4 brothers must take part in the visit.

Broughton were chosen because Simon Winstanley is originally from Skipton. His parents live off Shortbank Road and he was educated at St Stephens' RC Primary, then Holy Family Keighley, leaving in 2002 to study at Aberdeen University.  Both schools being linked to our circle. Bro Franklin's wife Deirdre Schutz working at St Stephens and Bro Chris Bohills and Bro Simon Manley's wife Mary working at Holy Family at the time.

An excellent evening was had by all.
