LONGRIDGE CIRCLE SEPTEMBER MONTHLY WALK

This month we took in a walk of about 4.5 miles around Silverdale, mostly on hard tracks which were a little muddy in places so walking boots were essential. We were, however, blessed with a pleasant day weather wise and as always great company accompanied by some fantastic scenery across the Kent estuary and Morecambe bay.

Some of the hardy souls pausing (or is that posing) for a group snap.
Next time Ted you might want to stand next to Moira rather than Bob!!!

After, we dined in the Silverdale Hotel and had a super meal.
The October walk will be based around the Selberge Hall Hotel, North Allerton with all 10 bedrooms now booked and the walk will be followed by a delicious dinner prepared by chef Damon Connelly.
The venue gives an opportunity to visit Fountains Abbey which during October is beautifully lit at night for visitors.

Longridge Circle walks are open to anyone who would like to walk between 4-5 miles with a pleasant hostelry at the end.
The November walk is a combined walk with Brooklands Circle and will be, as always, on the last Wednesday of the month, that is the 29th November. All welcome. Details from Joe Carroll or Bob Barron.
