An entertaining way of helping others

South Ribble Circle, in conjunction with the Newman Fund, arranged a very enjoyable evening’s entertainment in the form of a quiz with a Hot Pot Supper plus a choice of fruit pie if you got there quick enough.  The Newman Fund was founded by their late Brother Simon Brown to help people in the Leyland area in need irrespective of race, creed etc. They expect to have many calls made on them once refugees / asylum seekers arrive.  The photograph shows the winners Bro. John and Sue Mills and Bro. Chris and Lesley Raven with quizmaster Bro. Harry Embury.  The proceeds from the evening were split 50:50 between the Circle and the Fund.
