Mike Haley, son of Tim and Siobhan Haley of Preston & District Circle is a promising player with Sale Sharks.
Mike is one of eight uncapped players who Eddie Jones has
called up for his three day training squad in Brighton this week.
He was rewarded for
his progression from emerging youngster to first-team regular when he signed a
new two-year deal in December 2014. He made his first-team debut in
2012-13 and did so in unexpected fashion. When Cameron Shepherd pulled up in
the warm-up of the LV= Cup semi-final against Saracens, Mike was drafted into
the starting line-up. Dual-registered with Preston Grasshoppers, his club since
the age of eight, he joined the Sale academy set-up in 2012 having previously
played for England Clubs and Schools Under-18s, the North of England at
Under-16 and Under-18 level and Lancashire U15s, U16s and U18s.
