Bro. Tony Finnan was presented with a 40 years' membership scroll at Burnley Circle's January meeting.
Tony is a former Head of History at St Theodore's School.
He was educated at St Bede's, Manchester, followed by Sheffield & Liverpool Universities. In additional to the history, Tony also taught RE, English and games, especially rugby and tennis.
An interest in rugby led Tony to playing, coaching and administration at Burnley Rugby Club where his involvement goes back decades and still continues.
Tony is married to Aileen and they have three children and four grandchildren. Tony is also an active Governor at Holy Saviour School where he was a pupil and where two of his grandchildren are following in his footsteps.
