LONGRIDGE AND BROOKLANDS JOINT WALK

On a beautiful crisp, sunny morning 23 hardy souls gathered on Sainsbury's car park in Longridge. They were about to set out on an adventure circumnavigating Longridge passing from Ribble Valley into Preston and back again numerous times.
A Province 10 President, Province 17 President and a Provincial President from 17 led the troops into a "yomp"  of 6.5 miles.
Looking back at Beacon Fell from the top of Lord's Walk was the first of many wonders that those from visitors from Manchester were to experience.

What a group of posers!

A very dignified Provincial President stuck in the bushes!!

We've lost our leader.
If you go down in the wood today ...........?
Now that's interesting. Our brave leader can spin a good yarn not sure how much is factual.

A well earned lunch with convivial company.

Four Circles represented including Warrington, Brooklands, Longridge and Garstang.

A final group photo before 24 fed and watered friends dispersed but determined to meet up for another stroll together maybe around the Brooklands/ Sale area.

Thanks to: Peter Loynd and Joe Carroll for organising.
Presidents Ted (Longridge) and Peter (Brooklands) and Prov President Peter (Prov 17) for supporting.
David Astin for the many photograph (many more than I can reproduce here)
But mainly to all those who turned up and made the day a really enjoyable day.
