The photograph shows most of those dining at the November gathering but the sun, (which they say shines on the rightous!) has helped obscure some.
The Catenian Association is an international body of proudly Catholic laymen and permanent deacons who meet at least once a month in local groups called Circles, to enjoy each other's company and thereby strengthen their family life through friendship, faith and fun! It is open to practising Catholic laymen from the age of 18 years. Many of the Circles’ activities involve the members’ wives and families.

Fifth anniversay of the Province Pals
It is five years since Phil Morris set up the widowers group and we have been meeting monthly ever since. Until recently we usually met for mass at the Tabor Retreat Centre, Preston and then had lunch at the Sparling restaurant, Barton. With the closure of Tabor we were fortunate to be able to move to the Ladyewell Shrine at Fernyhaugh which is still convenient for the Sparling.
