Over the last 12 months, members and their families from the Burnley Circle (54) have been raising funds for the Handicapped Children’s Pilgrimage Trust, East Lancs Group 72. Various events have been held including a house party, raffles at monthly meetings and a concert featuring the Nelson Arion Male Voice Choir in conjunction with the Knights of St Columba.
In total, £1407 was raised and a cheque was presented by 2014/15 Circle President, Peter Nuttall, to Canon Jude Harrison, Parish Priest at St Alban’s RC Church Blackburn where the Group is based.
The money raised will be used to take a child to Lourdes at Easter next year.

The Catenian Association is an international body of proudly Catholic laymen and permanent deacons who meet at least once a month in local groups called Circles, to enjoy each other's company and thereby strengthen their family life through friendship, faith and fun! It is open to practising Catholic laymen from the age of 18 years. Many of the Circles’ activities involve the members’ wives and families.
