VISIT TO LYTHAM HALL

Lytham St Annes Catenians had a most enjoyable afternoon which started with lunch in the boardroom of the west wing at Lytham Hall, where twenty of us sat down for lunch. We were then introduced to our two tour guides who provided a brief history on the hall and then split us into two groups.

The knowledge of our guides who covered the family history, made for an extremely interesting couple of hours. Following the tour, we returned to the boardroom for our cream teas. We were accompanied by six year old Mia, granddaughter of Yvonne and Charles. She was kept occupied with the “Mouse Hunt” and having successfully found them all received her reward of a sweet. We were pleased to welcome Pat and Margaret Gavin from Blackburn with Ribble Valley Circle.
