Joint meeting for Burnley and Blackburn with Ribble Valley Circles

Burnley Circle held its first ever joint meeting with Blackburn with Ribble Valley Circle on 14 June at Burnley Football Club.  There was a great turn out of Brothers and wives.

After the meal, Stephanie Beech, who had benefited from a Catenian Bursary award to support her 12 month stay in India, gave a presentation of her experiences of working with an order of nuns in schools and charities in different parts of the country. A spontaneous collection followed her presentation and raised £240 to support the work of the Maher organisation https://maherashram.org/   a charity set up to identify and understand the root causes of violence and despair experienced by women and children in India and to provide support services.

(l-r) Terence Donnelly (Provincial Treasurer and Vice-Chair of the Bursary Fund Trustees), Terry Hephrun (Burnley Circle President), Stephanie Beech and Mark Conroy (Director).
