New Vehicle for Castlerigg

Castlerigg Catholic Youth Centre in Keswick has hosted several generations of Catholic school children in the last 40 years for residential retreat experiences which provide lifetime memories. The centre is supported by the Lancaster Diocese and donations from appeals, to provide a wonderful spiritual and fraternal experience in its picturesque lake district setting.

The staff at Castlerigg also provide outreach work for youth services to schools and parishes and have a small MPV for this work, this vehicle recently needed replacement and so when they launched an appeal, Province 10 of the Catenian Association responded.

We are pleased to announce that a total of £1550 was collected from circles around the Province and this was presented to Fr John Moriarty at Lancaster Cathedral on 24th August 2016. The picture shows Fr John Moriarty in front of the new MPV receiving the donations from Ken Dennis, Provincial President for Province 10 - 2015/16.

Brother Past Provincial President Ken Dennis would like to thank all the Circles who donated generously to this appeal, without which it would not have been possible to buy this vehicle.
