Ted Donnelly's Cycle to Lourdes - HCPT 2017
Ted, President elect of Longridge Circle, and his daughter are cycling 560 miles to Lourdes, leaving on his 74th birthday and arriving in Lourdes on Good Friday. He is trying to raise a modest £2000 and I hope you will support him in this by donating at "just giving ted donnelly".
If you covenant you can increase the amount substantially, So with a little fraternal spirit and much generosity and lots of support I'm sure he pass that total before he reaches Lourdes.
Thanks in advance. Joe

AFTERNOON TEA WITH GRAND PRESIDENT
Prior to the meeting of Chorley Circle on Monday, 13th
March, Bro. Grand President and his wife Eileen had expressed a desire to do
‘something different and dangerous’!
Unfortunately, as white water rafting is not available on
the River Yarrow on Mondays, an alternative plan had to be implemented.
So, Chorley Brothers Nick Hanley and Terence Donnelly, with
their wives Kate and Sandra respectively, entertained David and Eileen to
afternoon tea at the Mad Hatters Tea House in Longton.
CHORLEY CIRCLE’S CHARITY DONATION
During his Presidential year, Chorley Circle President Bill
Critchley held various functions to raise funds for his nominated Charity,
Friends of the Holy Land, including raffles and a family disco/hotpot
night.
After the March meeting dinner was enjoyed by 48 Brothers
and wives, including Grand President David Rowley and his wife Eileen. Bill
then presented a cheque for £1,000 to Brother Robert Hodgson KC*HS for the
Charity, which was founded in 2009 to assist Christians (not only Catholics)
living in the Holy Land. They have suffered greatly for some considerable time,
and Friends of the Holy Land helps to provide moral support and practical
assistance, generating and channelling financial resources, to enable them to
rebuild their lives and look forward to the better future which they so
earnestly desire.
