The Catenian Association is an international body of proudly Catholic laymen and permanent deacons who meet at least once a month in local groups called Circles, to enjoy each other's company and thereby strengthen their family life through friendship, faith and fun! It is open to practising Catholic laymen from the age of 18 years. Many of the Circles’ activities involve the members’ wives and families.

The Funeral of Brother Brian Hargreaves R.I.P.
The funeral for Brother Brian is at 12:00 on Thursday 3rd December at St Mary & St Michael Church, Bonds Lane, Garstang, PR3 1ZB.
The burial will be in the Church Cemetery (behind the church).
The (extended) family will organise seating.
The Brothers of North Lancashire and Westmorland Circles are invited to line the route outside the church following the Mass but not before the Mass. This means leaving the church immediately after the Mass (before the coffin).
Noreen wants everyone to be seated before the coffin arrives rather than lining up outside the church for the arrival of the coffin. This will enable Brothers to sit with their ladies. It will help the ushers to fill up the benches and will not need any seats to be reserved.

Brother Brian Hargreaves

and a joint member of Westmorland Circle
May he rest in peace

Broughton in Craven members have a night, which is hard to remember.
Eight Broughton in Craven circle members enjoyed an excellent evening at an Annual Whisky tasting held at the Rendezvous Hotel, Skipton.
This is a very enjoyable and educational evening giving us the opportunity to sample and taste seven specially selected Scottish Malt Whiskies chosen by an old traditional Scottish distillery with the history behind each diffferent but wonderful malt whisky.
Mind you, when it got to the seventh the eduactional bit didnt matter any more as you can see from the picture!
This was a thoroughly enjoyable social evening with a great atmosphere and rounded off with a Lasagne Supper.
Looking forward to next year's event already.

The Pals - three years and counting

exclusive group for widowers, set up by Brother Director Phil Morris of the
former Ribble Valley Circle in November 2012, following the death of his wife
Pat, still meet once a month for a memorial Mass with a lunch afterwards at a
nearby hotel.
